Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 6 Tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Prepare baking sheets with parchment paper.
  3. In a large bowl, sift the flour, baking soda, and salt together. Set aside.
  4. In a second large bowl, beat together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar for about 2 minutes until smooth.
  5. On low speed, mix in the egg and vanilla.
  6. Slowly mix in the dry ingredients.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  8. Scoop balls of dough and place on the prepared baking sheets.
  9. Bake the cookies for 10–13 minutes, or until the edge is lightly browned.
